Telesoft Technologies (Telesoft), a globally renowned company in cyber security solutions, has announced its latest state-of-the-art security offering - a 24/7, UK-based Managed Detection and Response (MDR) service.

Manned by a team of highly skilled cyber analysts - based in a UK Security Operations Centre (SOC) - this invaluable service continuously monitors an organisation’s network traffic for 24 hours a day and 365 days a year.

Managed Detection and Response (MDR)

Telesoft Technologies’ Managed Detection and Response (MDR) service safeguards enterprise networks

Telesoft Technologies’ Managed Detection and Response (MDR) service safeguards enterprise networks and adds an extra layer of security protection to an organisation of any size, across all sectors.

By proactively searching through an organisation’s network using the latest in machine learning and comprehensive threat intelligence technology, the Telesoft SOC team can identify and analyse any malicious threats or abnormal activity.

Tackling potential threats promptly

It doesn’t end there. If anything suspicious is spotted, it will be tracked and investigated, to determine if there is a threat.

Any identified incident will be contained by Telesoft’s team or escalated to the business’ internal team, within a pre-defined service level agreement (SLA). This could be as little as 15 minutes, depending on the severity and ensures any potential threats are dealt with promptly, keeping the businesses’ data safe and secure.

Combining human and technological intelligence

Andrew Marsh, the Head of IT & Security Services at Telesoft Technologies (Telesoft), explained “Any business, of any size, within any industry that is connected to the internet is at an increased risk of a cyber-attack. However, a high number of organisations still rely on endpoint and gateway solutions that are not adaptable enough to avoid sophisticated threats. What’s needed is a greater visibility at every layer of the network and a security solution that combines human and technological intelligence, with proactive and continual monitoring.

He adds “Our MDR Solution addresses this need. It has been designed to ensure an enterprise network is fully safeguarded. Not only does it benchmark what is ‘normal activity’, it is also continuously watching and analysing anything that is potentially abnormal - 24/7 by a trained security team based in our UK SOC.

Enhanced data and cyber security

In an ever-changing and uncertain digital landscape, identifying threats is becoming increasingly difficult

Andrew Marsh continues, “This may be something legitimate, like a user operating outside of their normal hours, or something more malicious, such as a small yet continuous beacon from a compromised device, to a command-and-control server. Often, one of the biggest mistakes a business can make regarding cyber security is thinking that they won’t become a victim. This simply isn’t good enough in this digital age.

In an ever-changing and uncertain digital landscape, identifying threats is becoming increasingly difficult for many organisations to manage. A recent study from the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) revealed that 39% of UK businesses have identified a cyber-attack in the last 12 months.

Need for a broad network protection strategy

With costs often exceeding £3 million, it is essential that organisations have a solid strategy in place, in order to protect their network. However, a wider network protection strategy requires considerable expenditure, and the case for incorporating a cyber solution, must be measured against the potential cyber-threat costs that an organisation can expect to encounter.

Setting up an in-house system requires capital and operational investment, with the price tag including recruitment, as well as the cost to establish a precise and reliable system. With Telesoft’s MDR Solution, organisations can enhance their security position at a fraction of this cost, while significantly reducing the deployment time.
