We recently extended our technology leadership by releasing our SurroundVideo 40-megapixel panoramic camera. With superior resolution, our cameras are able to capture more details while lowering the cost per pixel.

Compared to analogue and IP VGA cameras, multi-megapixel cameras provide much higher image quality and better return on investment (ROI). For example, 10MP cameras provide more than 18,000 pixels per US dollar ($) while VGA-resolution cameras provide about 1,500 pixels per US dollar ($). One megapixel panoramic camera may be able to cover the same field-of-view that requires many standard resolution cameras, depending on the application requirements. Using fewer cameras also translates into infrastructure cost savings (labour, cables, mounts, housings, VMS/NVR license fees, etc.), which makes it easy to realise an improved ROI.
