Arecont Vision IP cameras are integrated with more than 100 VMS platforms that are used throughout the world

Arecont has contributed to the advancement of megapixel imaging for professional security applications

In 2003, Arecont Vision was founded by two pioneers and innovators in the security industry. As the world leader in megapixel technology, Arecont Vision has contributed more to the advancement of megapixel imaging for professional security applications than any other company. As we celebrate our 10th anniversary, please allow us to share with you some of what we’ve accomplished over the past decade.

Let the numbers tell the story.

Securing the world's biggest brands

Many of the world’s largest and best known organisations have chosen Arecont Vision to protect their factories, campuses, remote offices and data centres.

Superior resolution

We recently extended our technology leadership by releasing our SurroundVideo 40-megapixel panoramic camera. With superior resolution, our cameras are able to capture more details while lowering the cost per pixel.

Industry firsts

As a result of our best-in-class product architecture, we typically introduce new imaging technology years ahead of competitors because we don’t have to wait until a new off-the-shelf ASIC is available. Our industry firsts include:

  • 2-megapixel H.264 network camera (2004)
  • 3-megapixel H.264 dual-sensor Day/Night camera (2005)
  • 5-megapixel H.264 network camera (2006)
  • 180° and 360° 8-megapixel panoramic cameras (2006)
  • Complete product line of H.264 megapixel cameras (2008)
  • 10-megapixel H.264 network camera (2009)
  • 20-megapixel 180° and 360° panoramic cameras (2011)
  • 12-megapixel 180° panoramic camera with WDR (2012)
  • Smallest multi-megapixel all-in-one MicroDome, 1-5MP (2013)
  • 40-megapixel 180° and 360° panoramic cameras (2013)

Megapixel product families

We offer the broadest product line: seven megapixel product families providing unmatched flexibility when designing a system. Arecont Vision’s product line includes H.264 and JPEG multi-megapixel models available in our SurroundVideo, MegaVideo, MegaDome, MegaView, MegaBall, MicroDome and D4F/D4S/D4SO series. We also offer features such as remote focus, remote zoom, day/night, auto-iris, IR illuminator, audio and WDR. With diversified product options, you can easily find the most suitable and cost-efficient surveillance solution for your needs in the Arecont Vision product family.

YOY growth

Since our journey began in 2003, we’ve sold over 2 trillion pixels and expanded our worldwide reach beyond North America with offices in Western Europe and Asia and representation in Russia, Middle East, Africa, and Latin America.

Pp$ (Pixels per Dollar)

Compared to analogue and IP VGA cameras, multi-megapixel cameras provide much higher image quality and better return on investment (ROI). For example, 10MP cameras provide more than 18,000 pixels per US dollar ($) while VGA-resolution cameras provide about 1,500 pixels per US dollar ($). One megapixel panoramic camera may be able to cover the same field-of-view that requires many standard resolution cameras, depending on the application requirements. Using fewer cameras also translates into infrastructure cost savings (labour, cables, mounts, housings, VMS/NVR license fees, etc.), which makes it easy to realise an improved ROI. Compatibility

Arecont Vision IP cameras are integrated with more than 100 VMS platforms that are used throughout the world including the largest providers in each theatre. Our cameras can easily fit into your current security solutions without software replacement.

Innovation

At Arecont Vision, we have a brilliant engineering team working hard to invent new technologies. We own 10 U.S. patents, with others pending (our efforts never stop). We are committed to innovation and quality
