With the introduction of the IEEE 802.3BT standard being introduced by more camera manufacturers, AMG has updated its transmission product range to support 90W Power over Ethernet. AMG first tested the new 90W PoE feature on 360 Vision’s Predator camera.

As a standard, we saw the camera working at 18W with full function and as low as 13W when idle giving an extremely energy-efficient solution,” said Robert Kidd, AMG Regional Sales Manager.

Integrated PTZ camera solutions

The Predator PTZ Camera has unrivaled low power consumption, even with infrared illumination, providing both significant energy savings and carbon footprint reduction.

With the success of the Predator test, 360 Vision Technology announced the technical partnership with AMG Systems to create a range of integrated PTZ camera and media converter solutions.

Available on Predator and Invictus camera ranges, the technical partnership enables 360 Vision to integrate the AMG250 Series industrial media converter PCB into the cameras. This enables long-distance video and control data transmission via connectivity to fibre-optic cable.
