A large publisher in the Netherlands has become the first to combine Nedap’s AEOS access control platform with Milestone’s XProtect video management system. This comes just weeks after the integration between AEOS and XProtect was officially launched.

Nedap AEOS access control system

“The customer wanted to see the events from their AEOS access control system in a powerful video management system,” explains Kim te Kaat, Business Development Manager at Nedap Security Management in the Netherlands. “They needed to harness the power of AEOS’s open platform and only work with one database. So, procedures and processes are defined just once, and there are no duplicates.”

As their access control is integrated with their HR database, AEOS significantly reduces the chance of manual errors and offers them a time saving of almost 30%. “On top of that,” adds Kim te Kaat, “they now also have access to the wide range of video management functionalities available with XProtect from Milestone. It’s a real win-win situation for them.”

Cost-efficient solution

The integration was implemented by Nedap’s channel partner, Voskamp Beveiligingstechniek, which is also a partner of Milestone. “Because of the strategic partnership between Nedap and Milestone we could offer a great, cost-efficient solution for our customer,” says Michiel de Graaf, Manager S&O at Voskamp.

Jurate Beniulyte, Strategic Alliances Manager, Milestone Systems, adds: “This is another proof point of the power of the Milestone community and open platform technology and the business value that first-class integrations and partners can provide. Milestone strongly believes in partnerships as the way to provide the perfect solutions to our mutual customers as showcased by Nedap and Voskamp Beveiligingstechniek in this first installation.”

This market-leading project will be implemented by the end of 2016.
