Genectec™ a manufacturer of open platform, unified IP security solutions, today announced that its SV-32, a security appliance that provides native support for video surveillance and access control capabilities, is available through new distribution partnerships in the US. The SV-32 appliance comes pre-installed with Genetec’s flagship open platform security system, Security Center, allowing end-users to deploy their choice of a unified security solution, or a standalone access control or video surveillance system.

All-in-one appliance

Designed to secure any site requiring up to 32 cameras, or up to 100 readers, the SV-32 supports a wide range of IP cameras and provides native integration with a variety of IP-ready door controllers and electronic locks from Genetec's growing ecosystem of access control technology partners. When deployed as a unified system, the SV-32 provides a consolidated view and control of video and access control activities with powerful monitoring, alarm management, and reporting tools. As an all-in-one appliance, the SV-32 can be used as a single appliance to both monitor and record video, eliminating the need for an additional monitoring workstation.

New US distribution relationships

Genetec has entered into new distribution agreements with industry-recognised distributors to fulfil US-based orders for the SV-32 appliance. With regionalised inventory in the US market, certified Genetec channel partners will be able to source the SV-32 directly from these distributors for accelerated deployment to customers.

To further simplify deployment and maintenance, the SV-32 comes equipped with a Control Panel utility that streamlines license activation and new system deployment, automatically checks for and downloads new software updates, and allows users to quickly configure system settings and enrol new devices.
