Optex Europe will offer a comprehensive perimeter protection portfolio catering for critical infrastructure and mission-critical applications

Optex Europe will exhibit its complete perimeter protection offerings from its REDWALL to Fiber SenSys ranges

Leading detector business Optex Europe will be showcasing its complete perimeter protection offering from its REDWALL and Fiber SenSys ranges at the Counter Terror Expo at the Olympia in London on April 19th and 20th.

Included on the stand will be the award winning REDSCAN laser detector which when mounted vertically, creates a 60-metre detection area that functions like an invisible wall. If sited horizontally, it creates a detection area of 30-metres and an arc of 180 degrees. With four outputs for remote video applications and four truly programmable detection areas linked with these outputs, REDSCAN is ideal for controlling pan/tilt/zoom (PTZ) cameras.

Alongside REDSCAN will be a range of new products being exhibited for the first time since the company's acquisition of Fiber SenSys. The Fiber SenSys, fibre optic sensor range, which has been approved by Sandia National Laboratories and the US Air Force, includes high-performance intrusion detectors for large government and critical infrastructure applications. These include military (permanent and tactical), airports, government facilities, prisons, nuclear and chemical plants, refineries, heritage properties, power stations and reservoirs. Fiber SenSys also produces the only PL-1 Nuclear-rated fibre optic security products in the world.

Geoff Pye, General Manager of Optex Europe, says that the combination of REDWALL and Fiber SenSys provides customers of both companies with a complete and comprehensive range of outdoor detection solutions: "It successfully unites two of the security industry's leading sensor manufacturers," he says.

"The ranges are almost wholly complementary, meaning Optex Europe can now offer customers an even more comprehensive perimeter protection portfolio, catering for critical infrastructure and mission-critical applications, and on show in the UK for the first time."
