Stevens responsible for product line management, pre-sales, sales and focused on embedded hardware security solutions for the mobile and networking industry

Stevens from INSIDE Secure will describe the security attacks that are routinely launched against mobile platforms

INSIDE Secure, a leader in embedded security solutions for mobile and connected devices, recently announces that Bart Stevens, director of product management at INSIDE Secure, will be a featured speaker at the Linley Tech Mobile Conference being held April 30 - May 1 in Santa Clara, California. Stevens will present ‘Mobile security is no longer optional’ on April 30 at 10:30, as part of the Mobile System Design session.

“Multi-core processors in smartphones and tablets now routinely run applications handling highly valuable, sensitive information,” said Bart. “Mobile devices need robust security embedded in the processors to protect that information from theft or compromise via increasingly sophisticated attacks.”

Drawing on his real world experiences, Stevens will describe the security attacks that are routinely launched against mobile platforms. He will also discuss the widely-implemented role of a Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) in protecting against those attacks. The need to further fortify a TEE with hardware IP, enabling enhanced security capabilities and FIPS certification will also be covered.

Mr. Stevens joined SafeNet, a forerunner of the Mobile Security Division, in 2002 as director of research and development where he was responsible for engineering management for the SafeXcel(TM) chip and embedded IP product line. Today he is responsible for product line management, pre-sales, sales and marketing support, focused on embedded hardware security solutions for the mobile and networking industry.
