  • i-PRO Remote Head Camera brings edge-AI analytics to tight, customer-facing and embedded security locations.
  • Modular design supports discreet installation at POS terminals, ATMs, reception areas and equipment enclosures.
  • Offers 144 dB imaging, Zero-Trust cybersecurity and i-PRO Active Guard integration; availability expected January 2027.

i-PRO has announced a modular Remote Head Camera designed to bring edge-AI security to locations where space, appearance or installation requirements make conventional cameras difficult to use.

Built on the i-PRO S Series platform, the system combines a separate camera head and processing unit with the analytics, cybersecurity and integration capabilities of the company’s standard cameras.

Compact camera for customer-facing environments

The separated components allow the camera head to be installed discreetly in confined or embedded settings, including point-of-sale terminals, ATMs, reception areas and equipment enclosures. The design is intended to extend intelligent security to places that may otherwise be inaccessible, while retaining camera functionality and fitting into its surroundings.

“Organisations across industries are increasingly leveraging AI to improve security, operational efficiency, and decision-making. From retail stores and banking branches to industrial facilities and other demanding environments, customers often face a common challenge: deploying advanced technology in locations where space and installation constraints limit their options,” said Gerard Figols, Chief Operating Officer at i PRO.

Figols added: “At i PRO, we believe technology should remove barriers, not create them. The Remote Head Camera extends the full power of our edge-AI platform into environments where conventional cameras cannot be deployed, ensuring that size is no longer a limitation. By combining advanced edge-AI, open-platform integration and cybersecurity by design, we continue to transform cameras into intelligent sensors that provide actionable insights and enable faster, more informed decision-making.”

Edge-AI, imaging and cybersecurity features

The i-PRO Remote Head Camera is expected to be available in January 2027

Features include a compact design for discreet installation and imaging with wide dynamic range of up to 144 dB and a field of view of approximately 135 degrees, intended for challenging lighting and close-range applications. Cybersecurity measures include Zero-Trust Cybersecurity, FIPS 140-3 Level 3 compliance, secure boot and signed firmware.

The camera also integrates with i-PRO Active Guard for search, visualisation, investigations and operational insights. Its modular architecture supports camera-head options for indoor and outdoor use, alongside flexible mounting configurations, giving integrators scope to meet different requirements through one platform.

The i-PRO Remote Head Camera is expected to be available in January 2027.
