Comelit-PAC has collaborated with Optic Fire & Security Solutions to enhance the fire alarm system at Rampworx Skatepark, recognised as the UK's largest indoor extreme sports facility.
Rampworx, operational since 1997, serves as a vital community asset in Merseyside, supporting over 1,000 young people weekly. As a registered charity, it reinvests its earnings into the skatepark's upkeep, development programmes, and retail operations.
Multiple interconnected areas
The vast indoor space at Rampworx necessitated a fire alarm system with comprehensive coverage across its various interconnected sections. These include skate zones, spectator areas, retail outlets, and staff facilities. Ensuring the system allowed usual activities to proceed uninterrupted was a priority.

During installation, the skatepark remained functional, necessitating meticulous planning to limit disruption for visitors, staff, and ongoing activities. The installation was executed in phases by Optic Fire & Security Solutions to ensure minimal interference with daily operations.

The implemented system has improved fire detection coverage throughout the facility, enhancing response capabilities and reinforcing life safety measures for its users, staff, and volunteers.
