Genting Casino at Westfield Stratford City has successfully overhauled its fire alarm system, utilising Comelit-PAC technology alongside installation specialists VTF&S.
This significant upgrade was necessary for the UK's largest casino floor, which includes the country's largest poker room, and operates 24/7, welcoming patrons continuously throughout the day and night. The project was undertaken without interfering with the casino's normal operations while adhering to stringent safety standards.
Overcoming previous limitations
The casino's former fire alarm system relied on a closed protocol, causing operational restrictions. Even small modifications necessitated professional call-outs, which escalated costs and delayed the response time.
Comelit-PAC's four-loop fire system provided a much-needed solution with its open protocol design, facilitating simpler maintenance and reduced long-term expenses. The upgrade also enhanced the system's reliability and expedited fault detection, offering significant benefits to such a busy, high-traffic venue.

The technical enhancements were complemented by the integration of Comelit-PAC's free cloud connection, enabling remote monitoring and support.
This secure cloud access allows engineers to diagnose and often rectify issues without the need for an on-site visit. VTF&S executed the installation while the casino remained operational, necessitating meticulous planning and coordination, aided by Comelit-PAC's technical team. This joint effort allowed the upgrade to occur with minimal disruption, thereby setting the stage for more streamlined and cost-effective support via remote connectivity.
