Pelco by Schneider Electric, a world leader in the design, development and manufacture of IP-based video security systems, announced recently it will highlight the advanced capabilities of its Optera™ Series Panoramic IP camera line, as well as its award-winning VideoXpert VMS, at the ISC West Conference and Expo, April 6-8, 2016, at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas.
Optera panoramic IP camera line
The Optera Panoramic IP camera line, which features 180-, 270- and 360-degree panoramic cameras, optimises live and recorded images from each of the four sensors and then seamlessly stitches and blends images at the boundaries to present users with a continuous panorama. No more worries about poor alignment between sensors, having to manually sequence images or gaps in information. The camera utilises anti-bloom technology and proprietary image processing, while SureVision 2.0 camera technology enhancements produce high-quality images in extreme low light without ever leaving wide dynamic range (WDR) mode. Additionally, users pan, tilt and zoom within areas of interest within the camera’s recorded and live views. Optera is well suited for applications in critical infrastructure, education, resorts and gaming, healthcare and retail.
VideoXpert video management system
VideoXpert VMS takes intuitive design and easy-to-navigate functionality and effortlessly displays critical intelligence and information together, allowing security professionals to make quick, effective decisions and sharpen tactical protocol in an emergency. VideoXpert integrates with a number of systems, including video analytics and surveillance, license plate recognition, point of sale, event/alarm management and more. The Optera challenge

SIA Education@ISC West
Pelco’s technology will take centre stage during the SIA Education@ISC West Vendor Solutions workshop, titled, “Expanding View: Emerging Trends in panoramic cameras and surveillance Management,” from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. PST Thursday, April 7, in Sands 101 on Level 1 of the Sands Expo Center. Speakers will include Jason Spielfogel, Director of Product Management, Systems, Analogue and Accessories, and Kevin Saldanha, Senior Product Manager, Video Line of Business, Ecobuildings Business. Panelists will discuss how panoramic cameras address the growing demand for video data capture, how such cameras solve specific end user challenges and present where this technology is headed in the future. The discussion is free of charge to all ISC West badge holders.
Saldanha also will join other surveillance manufacturers during the session, “The Latest in Open Space Video Surveillance: Multi-sensor Camera Technology,” from 1:45 to 2:45 p.m. PST on Thursday, April 7, in Room 309. The discussion will include a comparison of various breeds of multi-sensor cameras and how they are positioned in the market relative to single sensor panoramic, traditional fixed IP and PTZ cameras.
