ASSA ABLOY Aperio wireless lock technology paired with Zucchetti's XAtlas system will allow the new and affordable access control to penetrate deeper into building interiors
Zucchetti's access control system XAtlas will be integrated with the ASSA ABLOY Aperio wireless lock range

ASSA ABLOY, the global leader in door opening solutions, has entered into partnership with Zucchetti, Italian leader in the information technology sector. Zucchetti's access control system XAtlas will be integrated with the Aperio® wireless lock range.

Obtaining Aperio® Partner program certification is a first big milestone with Zucchetti Axess. A combination of the powerful XAtlas access control system, paired with wireless lock technology, will offer security professionals greater choice. It will allow new, affordable access control to penetrate deeper into building interiors.

The partnership results from a natural synergy between the two companies. They have actively cooperated to offer the market a “keys in hand” solution, made with:

  • Aperio®, the global ASSA ABLOY technology that allows a building's mechanical locks to connect wirelessly with an existing or new access control system — with no need to modify the doors.
  • XAtlas, the security management multiplatform by Zucchetti Axess, part of the Zucchetti Group. The platform allows the integration of access control with security, time and attendance management, CCTV, vehicle access control, parking management, and canteen management systems.

XAtlas now includes several Aperio® components, including electronic cylinders and escutcheons, wireless locks for security doors, and the 1-to-8 Hub for controlling access to multiple doors, without the need for expensive cabling.

"The integration with Aperio® wireless
electronic locks enriches our access
control system, Xatlas, enabling us to
offer customers a full global security
solution"

XAtlas Aperio® integration supports office mode, as well as multiple RFID technologies including iCLASS, MIFARE, MIFARE DESFire, and HID Prox/EM410. Currently online only, the integration uses the RS485 protocol and Wiegand interface through FEDOOR and AX DOOR Controller.

“Zucchetti Axess shares our vision of providing access control solutions designed to adapt to today's changing security requirements,” says Chris Bone, Vice President Access Control Solutions EMEA at ASSA ABLOY. "This integration offers customers a robust access control system that truly addresses all of their needs, including a cost-effective and wireless solution for extending access control deeper into their facility.”

"The integration with Aperio® wireless electronic locks enriches our access control system, Xatlas, enabling us to offer customers a full global security solution,” says Domenico Ruggeri, Vice President of Zucchetti.
