David Winner joins Streit after a career in the British Army

Streit Group, the world’s largest privately-owned vehicle armouring company, is delighted to announce the appointment of David Winner to the key position of General Manager, Streit Group UK. Opened in London in 2012, the UK subsidiary is responsible for all of the Group’s sales and marketing operations across Europe and for consulting on European defence and security requirements and design solutions.

David Winner has joined Streit after a 32 year career in the British Army during which he was entirely focused on armoured vehicles. He has been involved at all levels, from vehicle user to trials and development work to the short notice introduction of new platforms for operations. He was also responsible for the delivery of technical training on a number of platforms operated by the Royal Armoured Corps and the wider Army community.

Talking of his new appointment, David Winner commented: “I am excited about this move to the commercial world and looking forward to using my experience to help clients make the right decisions and influence future vehicle production to the benefit of those who will be using them.”

Guerman Goutorov, Founder & CEO of Streit Group, added: “Setting up a UK operation is an important step for us as we see it as a gateway to the rest of Europe. So we’re delighted that David with his exemplary experience has agreed to take on the role of UK General Manager.”

In his capacity as Streit Group UK General Manager, David Winner will be making a presentation at Counter Terror Expo 2013 being held on 24th and 25th April at Olympia, London. Opening with an analysis of the rising levels of civil unrest in an uncertain world, the presentation will go on to address how Streit Group vehicles with their adaptability, high levels of protection and affordability, can perform a range of different operational roles, providing the ideal solution to a range of different threats.
