There are many times when a single video image is not enough. For example, at night where a high sensitivity black and white video sensor offers a better image then a colour image, which is more useful in the day time for providing enhanced details, or in an installation where from a single camera you may want to capture a distant gateway and also a person presenting credentials at a nearby electronic doorway. These situations are well suited to the MOBOTIX D16 range of video surveillance systems that offer dual sensor mounts.

Covering larger areas in high detail

Like the rest of the Mx6 product line, the D16 includes RTSP/Multicast for simultaneous streaming of MxPEG, M-JPEG and H.264 within an ONVIF-ready system, plus advanced 3D motion detection. However, the D16 also offers twin 6 Megapixel sensors with optional lens with a horizontal angle of 15 to 103 degrees within a single rugged chassis. The sensors and lens can be arranged in a flexible fashion to offer day and night combinations or even a 12 megapixel, 180-degree panoramic view – perfect for covering larger areas in high detail where one lens is not enough.
