Terra Ferma’s surveillance and communication system will deliver security through remote video surveillance
For its new remote system, Terra Ferma plans to standardise on Moxa networking equipment

Moxa and Terra Ferma announced a comprehensive partnership encompassing the use of Moxa hardened communications equipment for a remote SCADA monitoring and IP surveillance system which Terra Ferma will market to the oil and gas industry.

"Moxa is one of the few companies to offer hardened networking equipment to all areas of the oil and gas industry, so it can partner with customers like Terra Ferma in developing cost-saving, integrated solutions as a single source supplier," said Todd Desso, Strategic Business Manager at Moxa Americas, Inc. "Based on our broad expertise in mission-critical engineering, Moxa's equipment secured reliable operation day-in and day-out, even under the toughest conditions."

For its new remote system, Terra Ferma plans to standardise on Moxa networking equipment, including Switches, Dataloggers, Access Points and IP cameras, all engineered to meet the unique code requirements of oil and gas applications extending across the entire value chain. Terra Ferma's surveillance and communication system will deliver security through remote video surveillance, SCADA sensor monitoring and system control. It is self-contained and self-powered by sustainable off-grid sources to guarantee reliable operations over extended periods independent of existing infrastructure.

"Monitoring performance is essential to maintaining a safe, successful oil and gas production site," explained Dennis Roark, President of Terra Ferma. "When daily visual inspections are not possible, remote surveillance and monitoring systems supply the information needed to evaluate operating performance as well as uncover any environmental changes. Because of the mission-critical nature of our systems, we rely only on the best-of-breed in technology. For that reason, we have complete confidence in Moxa components to protect our customers and our reputation."
