Compro Technology Inc. reinforces its SD card compatibility card with Silicon Power

SD memory cards, or flash memory cards, have many advantages over traditional hard drives, such as low power consumption, or small size. Compro IP cameras have long offered built-in microSD card slot, which allows cameras to store event snapshots and video recordings locally.

However, although different memory card manufacturers all conform to the same industry standard, customer reports of incompatible SD cards still surface occasionally. SD memory cards also come in various speed classes. For recording video on SD card, a certain level of constant writing speed is required. Hence, it is necessary to pay attention to the speed class information when purchasing a SD memory card for IP cameras.

In light of this, Compro has issued an technical note to list the microSD memory cards and manufacturers that as of now have been tested and found compatible with Compro IP cameras. Recently, the high-capacity microSD cards from Silicon Power have also been proved to be fully compatible with Compro IP cameras. Silicon Power is a leading manufacturer of flash memory cards and other data storage products. Its products are sold and used by millions of end-users in more than 100 countries.

With the right SD memory cards, you can ensure the important moments are perfectly captured by your network cameras. For more information about Silicon Power, please visit For the SD Card Compatibility List, visit
