Tamron Co., Ltd. comprehensive optics manufacturer and a leader company in the security industry, announced the release of Model M118FM35-II, 1/1.8" fixed-focal lens that is compatible with 3 megapixel camera.
Development concept
In recent years ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems) has been receiving attention world-wide, with rising demand for high sensitivity and high resolution, which result in larger imager size. In order to meet with market requirements, Tamron is announcing a development of lens which is suitable for traffic application with faster F/no. and higher resolution. This lens will contribute especially for license plate recognition or face recognition for ITS applications.
Main features
- High-performance lens design which is suitable for ITS megapixel resolution is achieved. High resolution is maintained from centre to periphery. 35mm focal length has enabled the identification, which is mainly required for the long distance traffic systems.
- Further improvement in operation and versatility Rotation angle for focus adjustment has been widened to ease the focusing. And to compensate for various light conditions and scenes, 30.5mm size filter can be fitted.
- Durability enhancement Metal mount is being applied for higher durability.
