IMS Research ranks SeeTec among the top three vendors for IP surveillance software in EMEA region
The report confirmed SeeTec's position as one of the leading vendors of IP Video Management Software
The recently published IMS Research report on "CCTV and Video Surveillance Equipment 2010" has reaffirmed SeeTec's position as one of the leading vendors of IP Video Management Software. In the ‘Software-only Vendors of Open Platform Network Video Management Software (VMS)' category, SeeTec was ranked Number 2 in the EMEA region and is rapidly closing in on the Number 1 position. In the rankings for all Open Platform VMS vendors, including players' also offering hardware, SeeTec was ranked Number 3. The report also clearly foresees a macro-shift in favour of hardware independent open platform based VMS in the period between 2009 and 2014. Furthermore, IMS Research expects proprietary VMS solutions to decline significantly in the same period.

This solid performance is even more remarkable given the gloomy environment that prevailed in the sector during much of last year due to the global economic crisis. Rolf Senger, CEO at SeeTec AG, sees these positive developments as a validation of the firm's recent strategy. "By entering new markets in Europe and by focusing on developing tailor-made solutions for specific verticals, we have distinguished ourselves as the partner of choice for IP surveillance software," says Senger. After the successful entry into the Scandinavia, Turkey and the Commonwealth of Independent States, SeeTec plans to continue with its focused expansion strategy by establishing sales and support staff in all key European markets this year.

Besides geographical expansion, sustained development of solutions targeted at diverse verticals is a top priority. SeeTec's video management solution is positioned as a ‘Multi-solution Platform', which allows business processes, related hardware as well as information streams to seamlessly connect with the SeeTec's VMS. This enables SeeTec to not only provide the industry leading solutions for verticals such as retail, logistics and finance but also to effectively differentiate from competitors. By promoting the integrated and streamlined use of the VMS with other IT and network based technologies typically deployed by businesses, SeeTec has expanded its scope beyond the traditional realm of security to include business intelligence and the IT sector at large.

SeeTec will be showcasing its solutions at Security Essen 2010, the leading trade show for the security sector. Between the 5th and 8th of October 2010, SeeTec looks forward to welcoming all interested parties at its booth 213 in hall 2. The focal point would be the latest version of the company's award-winning VMS, SeeTec 5.3.5, now with various new and enhanced features. With the SeeTec Anywhere module, one of the firm's latest innovations, users can use the pre-installed, fully functional SeeTec client on Internet enabled computers by simply plugging in a USB stick. Furthermore, with the SeeTec Analytics package, available in Basic, Premium and Enterprise flavours, customers can now deploy intelligent video analysis in indoor as well as outdoor environments. Also on display at this year's event would be the ‘Multi-Solution Platform', which exhibits SeeTec's holistic approach to surveillance by seamlessly interfacing with third-party systems such as access control and RFID based localisation modules.
