ComNet CNFE2MC2C ethernet media converter

With voltage transient protection on all power and signal input/output lines of the ComNet CNFE2MC2C media converter, power surges and other voltage transient events can be protected from occurring. Being an environmentally hardened solution, this ethernet media converter is designed to meet full compliance with the environmental requirements and can be operated in extreme conditions. Moreover, the electrical port of the ComNet CNFE2MC2C media converter supports Auto-Negotiation that enables to choose the common transmission mode among the connected devices. The Automatic MDI/MDI-X crossover allows this ethernet media converter to distinguish and automatically correct errors in cable selection between a "straight through" and a "crossover" cable.

Model InfoComNet CNFE2MC2C ethernet media converter transmits and receives 10/100 Mbps data and two bi-directional contact closures over multimode or single mode optical fibre using SFP modules to select distance and connector type. The electrical interface will Auto-Negotiate to a 10 Mbps, or 100 Mbps Ethernet rate without any adjustments. The optical interface operates at a 100 Mbps Ethernet rate. The CNFE2MC2C media converters is environmentally hardened to operate in extreme temperatures.
