Panasonic System Communications Company of North America, a provider of security and video surveillance platforms, showcased new additions to its Unified Surveillance Solutions portfolio at the ASIS Security Conference & Expo, September 26th-28th, booth #1833 this week in Dallas, TX.

This year’s ASIS exhibit is focused on highlighting a variety of solutions from its broad portfolio of fixed, mobile and body worn surveillance platforms, including both hardware and software that work together to help keep communities safe around the world. In addition, Panasonic will be featuring two special exhibit areas that focus on both city and campus safety.

The Safe City zone showcases high performance imaging and analytics technology that can monitor highway and street traffic, ruggedised cameras for extreme weather environments, and end-to-end evidence capture and management systems for law enforcement including new body worn cameras and evidence management software. The special Safe Campus zone offers an array of surveillance technologies that deliver better situational awareness on commercial and educational campuses including 4k-based 360-degree cameras, analytics software that can perform people counting and facial recognition, and transit-ready mobile surveillance cameras and recorder solutions suited for campus transportation vehicles and buses.

“We have worked hard to ensure that our unified surveillance systems keep communities safe and secure,” said Charlie Hare, National Category Manager, Panasonic System Communications Company of North America. “Panasonic’s unified surveillance solutions have proven to be trusted, intelligent and secure for a variety of applications and are especially suited for city-wide and campus-wide environments.” Now, with a broad base of fixed, mobile and body worn solutions available, Panasonic is poised to raise the bar on security even higher.”

New Video Insight VI7 Video Management Software: Building on the success of VI’s acclaimed Monitor 6 software, Panasonic’s newly introduced Video Insight 7 (VI7), the latest generation of VI’s open-platform security management system, is now faster and more powerful than ever. Redesigned from the ground up to deliver improved performance, enhanced scalability and new functionality based on specific industry needs, VI7 is aimed at making the entire Video Insight video management suite more intuitive, more powerful and easier to use.

Key benefits

  • New User Interface
  • Designed around efficiency & speed, the completely redesigned VI Monitor Plus UI simplifies and reduces menu clutter, while placing your camera views in the forefront where they should be.
  • Full H.265 support

  • New Plug-in architecture that expand functionality for the following vertical markets: retail, transportation and city surveillance
  • Lower Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
  • Affordability, flexibility, and zero annual maintenance costs are what set Video Insight apart from the rest. VI simple licensing structure ensures that its clients get a complete solution which provides them with the most cost-effective, enterprise class VMS solution on the market today.
  • VI 7 utilizes a fully modular architecture allowing for greater stability, faster software updates, quicker software upgrades, and even the implementation of new industry specific features through Plug-ins.
