This initiative, unique in the sector, is applicable to all camera series under the IDS brand, including the uEye, uEye+, uEye Live, uEye EVS, uEye 3D, and IDS NXT models. The warranty is available to business customers who purchase directly from IDS or through authorised distribution partners, supplementing the existing statutory warranty.

If a proven material or manufacturing defect arises within the 36-month period, IDS offers to repair the product, replace it with a new or equivalent model, or refund the purchase price if neither repair nor replacement is feasible — all at no extra charge to the customer. Additionally, customers may opt to extend the warranty to five years for a supplementary fee.

Authorised distribution partners
Under the voluntary manufacturer's warranty, IDS undertakes to provide one of the following services within 36 months in the event of proven material or manufacturing defects – at no additional cost to the customer:
- Repair of the defective product
- Replacement delivery of a new or equivalent model
- Refund of the purchase price if neither repair nor replacement is possible.
- Optionally, the manufacturer's warranty can be extended to up to 5 years for an additional fee.
