SitexOrbis restructured to focus on its regional business, and won several key pieces of new business

Guy will take the reins of the business during an exciting time of growth

Vacant property expert SitexOrbis has appointed Guy Other as its new Chief Executive. Guy has more than 20 years’ success as a b2b services leader in a broad range of commercial sectors. Most recently he was Chief Operating Officer at Stalbridge Linen Services and a main Board Director at Johnsons Apparelmaster.

Guy will take the reins of the business during an exciting time of growth. After a period of uncertainty during a Competition Commission process, SitexOrbis was acquired in February 2013 by a consortium of experienced, patient and well-funded private individuals focused on ensuring a period of stability and growth over the next ten years. Over the past year, the organisation restructured to focus on its regional business, and won several key pieces of new business.

“We are delighted that Guy has joined SitexOrbis. We were impressed by his clear strategic vision and commercial expertise which he has used to shape, direct and turnaround the operational performance, market share and profitability of several blue chip companies,” said Layton Tamberlin, SitexOrbis’s acting MD and part-owner.

“I am very pleased to be joining SitexOrbis at such a crucial time for the business,” added Guy. “The situation is similar to when I joined Johnsons and I look forward to working with our committed investors and the fantastic people within the business to deliver great service to our customers and some significant growth over the coming years.”

With a degree in business studies, Guy is a product of the Unilever Graduate Management Programme where he held a number of senior operational and commercial roles in the Power Applications division. In the late 1990s Guy joined Sketchley Textile Services and then moved to the Sunlight Service Group as a main Board Director responsible for its industrial division. Latterly Guy spent seven years as a main Board Director for Johnsons Apparelmaster.
