Suprema launches BioEntry W, a Fingerprint IP reader featuring vandal-resistant and waterproof structure. With its   rugged IP65/IK08 certified protective structure, BioEntry W designed for outdoor installation and harsh operating environments. Packed in a mullion-sized body, BioEntry W features multi award-wining Suprema fingerprint algorithm with loads of innovative features.

For outdoor installations, BioEntry W offers class-leading dust and water protection by featuring IP65 certified body structure with operating temperature range from -20’C to 50’C. BioEntry W also features superb IK08 certified vandal proof structure which protects up to 5 joules of impact. The device’s rugged housing is made of specialised heavy-duty Lexan resin and its outer shell thickness has been doubled than ordinary access readers.

BioEntry W provides easy installation and network connectivity by TCP/IP and PoE(Power over Ethernet) which completes true IP-to-the-door access control by wiring a single CAT5/6 cable for both network and power. The device also provides RS485, Wiegand and an internal relay for direct lock interface.

The design of BioEntry W is focused on satisfying both aesthetic and practical aspects. It features 3D dotted pattern on front, multi-colour LED indicator and metallic silver finish on rims. Measuring 172 mm of height and 50 mm of width, the device is perfectly designed to fit mullion type installations.

In addition, BioEntry W is fully compatible with the BioStar, SUPREMA’s IP based access control management system. Suprema is increasingly focusing on developing “IP based distributed access control system’ to answer trends and needs from the security industry. Along with its existing biometric access control system, the BioEntry W will broaden customer’s choice in designing their access control, especially for outdoor installations and extreme environments.
