Hikvision has collaborated with the French software developer, FWA. The partnership has enabled FWA to integrate Hikvision’s automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) licence plate detection technology into its DuckTheLine logistics queue management solution.
DuckTheLine enables site managers to schedule when trucks should arrive, and to optimise their progress through the facility whilst they are on-site.

Even if it is impossible to schedule an exact arrival time, the software optimises the process of loading and unloading.
The partnership with Hikvision enables FWA to automate access to a logistics site by reading vehicle number plates. This reduces the waiting time for vehicles at the site entrance and can improve the safety of local roads by reducing congestion. It also uses less manpower and, as a result, lowers operational cost.
Hikvision ANPR cameras
When a truck arrives at the site, the DuckTheLine system receives the vehicle registration from Hikvision ANPR cameras installed either at the entrance gate or the approach road.
These cameras are connected to HikCentral Professional which, in turn, synchronises the appropriate data with our DuckTheLine server. This authorises (or not) the vehicle and sends the appropriate command to the barrier control.
