  • Flir iXX-series thermal cameras at CES 2026

At CES 2026 in Las Vegas, FLIR is set to showcase its latest app-enabled thermal cameras, the next-generation iXX-Series. These cameras promise to revolutionise how electrical and mechanical inspections are conducted across various sectors including manufacturing, industrial, commercial, datacentres, and utilities.

Utilising FLIR's Assetlink browser-based software, the iXX-Series incorporates asset-centric structured data to streamline workflows and decision-making processes, potentially transforming the landscape of thermal inspections.

Innovative infrared imaging technologies

Located at Booth 9037, FLIR will illustrate the efficiency of modern thermal inspections with a host of advanced infrared imaging technologies. These demonstrations will highlight a strong return on investment through key metrics.

The main feature will be the new iXX-Series, which operates akin to a smartphone for thermography. Built on FLIR's ACE platform, these cameras are designed to seamlessly connect to the cloud and integrate easily across teams.

Reducing reporting itme

The i64 and i65 models delivers NFPA 70B-certified thermal inspections Traditionally, reporting has consumed up to half of a technician's time, but the integration of Assetlink software within the iXX-Series reduces this to zero. This shift allows technicians to prioritise actual inspections over paperwork.

The iXX-Series, including the i64 and i65 models, delivers NFPA 70B-certified thermal inspections, crucial given the current shortage of skilled thermographers.

Feature-packed thermal cameras

Both iXX-Series models boast high-resolution (480 x 640) thermal imaging and a user-friendly 5-inch touchscreen, with the i65 additionally providing built-in LTE connectivity. This feature enables secure thermal data upload, report sharing, and real-time collaboration directly from the field, circumventing the need for Wi-Fi access. Attendees to FLIR's CES booth will witness these capabilities through live demonstrations.

Excellence in thermal imaging

Science-grade cooled cameras will also be presented, streaming live to illustrate how minor temperature differences are visualised with top-notch image quality. These demonstrations will show the potential benefits in fields such as electronics development, academic research, and non-destructive testing.

Broader product demonstrations

FLIR Scout Pro thermal monocular will be on display for law enforcement and public safety professionalsThe FLIR exhibit will also include the Edge Pro wireless thermal camera, transforming smartphones and tablets into infrared imagers capable of capturing clear images and videos.

In addition, the FLIR Scout Pro thermal monocular will be displayed for law enforcement and public safety professionals who require reliable equipment for high-stakes missions.

Interactive and engaging experiences

Visitors will also have a chance to engage with innovations at the booth, including thermal selfie stations and the 'hidden heat' challenge. Wall-mounted displays will feature thermal AI cameras, intelligent traffic solutions, early fire detection systems, and more. A raffle offering exciting prizes adds to the interactive experience.

FLIR's comprehensive approach

John Gould, Senior Director of Strategic Business Development at FLIR, stated, "As visitors to our booth will discover, FLIR is changing the playing field and evolving the condition monitoring arena with a new world of possibilities. If you have an interest in preserving critical asset health, maximising uptime and quality, or gaining predictive insight, you will definitely benefit from the advantages that FLIR brings."

Visit FLIR Booth 9037 at CES 2026 from January 6-9 to experience these advancements firsthand.

Show full press release

At CES 2026 in Las Vegas, demonstrations of Flir’s next-generation iXX-Series app-enabled thermal cameras will outline how users can transform electrical and mechanical inspections across manufacturing, industrial, commercial, datacenter, and utility environments. In combination with Flir Assetlink browser-based software, iXX users can leverage asset-centric structured data to expedite workflows and decision making. Get ready to think about thermal inspection in a whole new way.

From Booth 9037, Flir will define successful thermal inspections via an array of cutting-edge infrared imaging technologies, with return-on-investment demonstrated across core metrics.

The ace in the pack

Taking the spotlight will be the new iXX-Series, which works just like a smartphone, but for thermography. Powered by intuitive apps and built on Flir’s new ACE platform, these innovative infrared cameras connect to the cloud and scale easily across teams.

Reporting demands up to 50% of a technician’s time using traditional workflows. However, thanks to embedded Assetlink software, this percentage drops to zero with connected workflows that allow users to focus on inspections, not paperwork.

Camera features and benefits

Building on the event’s reputation as the proving ground for breakthrough technologies, Flir will demonstrate two cameras from the new series, the i64 and i65. These advanced iXX-Series sensors brings the power of NFPA 70B-certified thermal inspections to every technician, no matter their level of experience. This factor is vital as around 60% of maintenance teams currently report a shortage of skilled thermographers.

While both models Flir iXX-Series features high-resolution (480 x 640) thermal imaging, an intuitive 5” touchscreen, and a rugged, glove-friendly design. The i65 also offers built-in LTE connectivity. Flir i65 users can securely upload thermal data, share reports, and collaborate in real time, directly from the field without Wi-Fi access. Visitors to the Flir booth at CES 2026 will see these i64 and i65exciting thermal cameras demonstrate their app-driven capabilities live on a large touchscreen.

Science in action

The Flir booth will also host science-grade cooled cameras streaming live to screens. Visitors can discover how visualising minute temperature differences at the best image quality is able to benefit applications such 1/2 as electronics development, university research, and non-destructive testing.

Further demonstrations are set to include the Flir Edge Pro wireless thermal camera, which transforms an iOS/Android smartphone or tablet into a thermal imager capable of capturing crisp infrared images and videos. Also on show will be the Flir Scout Pro, a new thermal monocular for law enforcement and public safety professionals who demand reliability in high-stake missions.

Innovations and games

Wall-mounted screens will display further innovations that include thermal AI cameras, visible AI cameras, urban/interurban intelligent traffic solutions, early fire detection cameras, optical gas imaging technology, video management systems, and PTZ (pan, tilt, zoom) AI cameras and radars.

Enhancing the booth’s levels of fun and engagement, visitors can try out the Flir thermal selfie booth, take part in the hidden heat challenge, and enter a raffle to win amazing prizes.

The Flir advantage

“As visitors to our booth will discover, Flir is changing the playing field and evolving the condition monitoring arena with a new world of possibilities,” said John Gould - Senior Director Strategic Business Development, Flir.

“If you have an interest in preserving critical asset health, maximising uptime and quality, or gaining predictive insight, you will definitely benefit from the advantages that Flir brings. Innovation, quality, and trust are cornerstones of the Flir ecosystem, which extends far beyond solutions to embrace fully integrated services such as consultancy, technical support, and training.”
