Initially, users enter a passcode provided by the retailer to start the verification, linking it to a backend identity verification request. They then insert their government-issued ID, which the system authenticates in 8–10 seconds using over 400 adaptive AI security checks designed to detect fraudulent IDs.
A webcam captures a live video of the user to match facial geometry with the ID photo. Verification results are immediately shown on-screen and transmitted to a secure, cloud-based backend for authorised personnel to review in real-time.
This comprehensive authentication process combines document forensics, facial recognition, and cloud analytics into a singular, self-contained system, eliminating outdated manual ID reviews, while ensuring complete compliance and auditing.
VeriScan integration
Central to the kiosk's system is IDScan.net's flagship VeriScan product, a trusted verification engine utilised globally by hundreds of organisations.
