SaaS Alerts, a cybersecurity company specifically developed for Managed Service Providers (MSPs), has unveiled its achievements for 2021, showcasing significant growth and performance indicators.

Since the platform's official launch in January 2021, following its Beta introduction in August 2020, the company has rapidly expanded its MSP partner network, servicing over 350 MSPs and overseeing more than 100,000 Small-to-Midsize Business (SMB) cloud application accounts with enhanced monitoring, alerting, and remediation capabilities for SaaS applications.

Increasing SaaS Adoption

The adoption of SaaS applications by businesses has accelerated, largely due to the demand for collaboration and productivity tools necessary for remote workforces.

This trend has heightened awareness of the security risks inherent in SaaS applications. As security concerns grow, they present new opportunities for MSPs to not only protect their clients but also to create a profitable revenue stream by offering enhanced SaaS security services.

SaaS Security Solutions

SaaS Alerts is designed to support MSPs in safeguarding their clients' use of popular SaaS applications like Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Salesforce, and Dropbox.

The platform helps protect against threats such as data theft and insider risks. "I'm so very proud of what the SaaS Alerts Team has accomplished in such a short period," said Jim Lippie, CEO of SaaS Alerts.

2021 Corporate Milestones

Among its 2021 achievements, SaaS Alerts has increased its MSP partner base to 360, expanded its coverage to over 125,000 SMB accounts, and logged more than 50 million security events.

The company also secured $4.5 million in funding and developed a unique channel software funding platform in collaboration with Channel Angels, enabling MSPs to invest, with MSP owners and employees accounting for over $500,000 of the total funding.

Strategic Partnerships and Reports

SaaS Alerts established strategic partnerships with Zomentum and Solutions Granted in 2021, enhancing the cybersecurity capabilities offered to MSPs.

Additionally, the company released the first SASI (SaaS Application Security Insights) Report, providing valuable insights into the SaaS application behavior of SMBs.

Product Innovations

The year's product innovations included a new security reporting module with automated scheduling, customisable event alert thresholds, over 100 new alerts, and ticket suppression functions.

Each significant alert now comes with remediation recommendations to assist Tier 1 technicians in resolving security concerns. The platform's ability to whitelist IPs and locations at the account level was also added, enhancing security customisation.

MSP Tools Enhancements

Recognising MSPs as prime targets for cyber threats, SaaS Alerts has dedicated resources towards enhancing product capabilities that allow for monitoring of user behavior in MSP toolsets. In 2021, this included releasing monitoring solutions for IT Glue and NinjaOne, alerting MSP executives to unusual activity.

Leadership and Educational Initiatives

Key leadership appointments included Jim Lippie as CEO, Pat Sullivan as Vice President of Sales, Harsh Maur as Software Engineer and DevSecOps Lead, Liran Baron as Director of Technical Operations, and Bob Baker as Senior Account Manager.

Looking ahead, SaaS Alerts is hosting educational webinars to assist MSPs in navigating the upcoming Microsoft 365 price hikes effective March 1st, 2022. MSPs interested in these sessions, scheduled for February 8th, 15th, and 23rd, can register and will receive a Microsoft 365 pricing calculator to manage the new financial landscape.

SaaS Alerts, the cybersecurity company purpose-built for Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to protect and monetise their customers’ core business SaaS applications revealed its 2021 growth and key performance accelerants.

Since its Beta launch in August 2020 and the general availability of the platform in January 2021, SaaS Alerts has rapidly expanded its MSP partner base to include over 350 Managed Service Providers supporting over 100,000 Small-to-Midsize Business (SMB) cloud application accounts with SaaS Application Monitoring, Alerting, and Remediation.

SaaS Application adoption

The accelerated rate of SaaS Application adoption by businesses, driven in part by the need to provide collaboration and productivity tools to enable remote workforces – along with the need for more centralised and tightly controlled business data resources, has continued to elevate awareness and critical concern for major threat vectors and security gaps that exist in SaaS Application security.

These same security concerns present new opportunities for MSPs – a way to better safeguard their clients while offering SaaS security services that will also drive a profitable new revenue stream for their MSPs.

SaaS Alerts

Safeguard against security threats to a business’ SaaS environment such as data theft, data that’s at risk

SaaS Alerts was designed to help MSPs monitor and protect their customers’ usage of the most popular SaaS applications such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Salesforce, Dropbox, and more – and to safeguard against security threats to a business’ SaaS environment such as data theft, data that’s at risk due to unintentional employee mishaps and actions taken by bad actors.

“I’m so very proud of what the SaaS Alerts Team has accomplished in such a short period,” said Jim Lippie, CEO of SaaS Alerts.

SaaS for MSP

“2021 has been an amazing year for us and 2022 is shaping up to be even better."
