PSA announced the line-up of sponsors for ADAPT 2020 virtual managerial conference, for systems integrators. This virtual event, held on October 6-8, 2020, will include sessions on topics ranging from sales, operations, leadership, managed services and more. Participants will have the opportunity to network with other PSA Network members and vendors and gain access to additional tools and resources to help them reinvent their businesses in the post-COVID-19 economy. The event also includes a virtual trade show for sponsors to foster networking and engagement throughout the event and beyond. USAV, a division of PSA, has announced the addition of Patrick C. Whipkey as the director of USAV. In this role, Whipkey will directly impact the success of USAV by cultivating relationships with integrators, manufacturers, service provider partners and associations within the network, as well as managing programs and collaborating with the management and executive teams on the overall strategic direction of USAV. Security industry veteran Prior to joining PSA, Whipkey spent ten years with IMS Technology Services, a USAV integration group member company, where he held multiple roles, most recently serving as the director of project management. “IMS was instrumental in my growth, I felt like as the company grew so did I,” said Whipkey. “I’m looking forward to continuing my work in the proAV industry through a different lens with the USAV team.” Whipkey also brings with him over 19 years of proAV industry experience serving the commercial and residential sectors Whipkey also brings with him over 19 years of proAV industry experience serving the commercial and residential sectors. PSA announced the new roster of committee members as well as chair and vice chair appointments. Each PSA Committee is made up of representatives from PSA owner companies who have expertise within the committee’s specific functional areas. This year, all committees will welcome back returning members from the previous term as well as at least one new member to their groups. Mangrum will be responsible for helping to drive strategic direction of IT at PSA Security Network PSA Security Network®, recently announced the addition of Chris Salazar-Mangrum, MBA, PMP as the Senior IT Project Manager in the IT department. In this brand new role, Mangrum will be responsible for managing all IT programs and processes and helping to drive the strategic direction of IT at the company. Mangrum brings over 15 years of experience in managing enterprise level projects and multi-million dollar operations. He holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Colorado and a Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from the Product Management Institute. Prior to joining PSA Security Network, Mangrum was a Senior Project Manager for Level 3 Communications where he was responsible for managing projects related to procurement and supply chain management including directing a $30M ERP system integration with hundreds of users across the globe. “Chris is going to be an invaluable member of our leadership team,” said Bill Bozeman, President and CEO of PSA Security Network. “His approach to reducing IT inefficiencies while meeting the needs of all key stakeholders on large scale IT projects will no doubt allow PSA to continue to grow in leaps and bounds in the years ahead.” A Colorado native, Mangrum enjoys family experiences, travelling and coaching baseball.
