For the past five years, VIVOTEK has been advancing its “Safety Map” sustainability initiative to bolster community and environmental resilience through expert security solutions.
In a significant development in 2024, VIVOTEK collaborated with the Hualien-based Lamb Social Innovation Studio to evaluate safety risks in Dachen New Village, proposing improvements aimed at enhancing community welfare.
This endeavour was acknowledged at the 2026 Regional Revitalisation and Corporate Sustainability Co-Creation Forum, organised by Taiwan’s National Development Council, as an exemplary case of business-community partnerships fostering sustainable regional advancement.
Partnership details
Li-Pei Peng, Deputy Minister of the National Development Council, stated that the NDC has forged a partnership with the Financial Supervisory Commission and the Taiwan Stock Exchange to include regional revitalisation initiatives in ESG evaluation benchmarks starting in 2026.
Responding to increasing corporate interest in regional revitalisation, the NDC introduced three models to guide businesses in engaging with these efforts. These models aim to facilitate connections between companies and local revitalisation teams to build enduring partnerships and shared success.
Models proposed
The NDC worked alongside PwC Sustainability Services Company to propose three partnership models: the Accelerator Model, the Value Integration Model, and the Ecosystem Building Model.
VIVOTEK’s initiative aligns with the Ecosystem Building Model, which stresses cross-sector collaboration. This model seeks to address regional challenges by integrating corporate, academic, and governmental resources.

Li-Pei Peng, Deputy Minister of the National Development Council, noted that the NDC has also partnered with the Financial Supervisory Commission and the Taiwan Stock Exchange to incorporate regional revitalisation initiative into ESG evaluation reference examples starting in 2026.
To address growing interest from companies on how to practically engage with regional revitalisation efforts, the NDC introduced three partnership models designed to help businesses participate more effectively while enabling local revitalisation teams to better connect with corporate partners, build long-term collaborations, share risks, and achieve mutual success.
Models proposed

Through this approach, corporate resources are connected with regional revitalisation teams, academia, and public-sector organisations to address systemic regional challenges while integrating safety into local development.
