RISCO has launched VUpoint AI in the UK, a sophisticated video solution featuring AI-powered cameras and Network Video Recorders (NVRs), which integrate directly with the RISCO ecosystem and the updated iRISCO app.
This solution aims to enhance event verification speed and accuracy while providing real-time monitoring for both residential and commercial applications.
Enhancements without the added cost
According to Dave Tate, Commercial Director at RISCO UK&I, "VUpoint AI is a game-changer for our installer community. It’s seamlessly integrated with new and existing RISCO systems, bringing advanced video intelligence without adding complexity."
By combining advanced video analytics with RISCO's cloud and control panels, customers can expect fewer false alarms, quicker verification, and improved AI performance, all without incurring a premium price.

Additionally, it provides valuable insights into people and vehicle movements, including automatic number plate recognition (ANPR), cross counting, and people counting to improve access and flow management.
Seamless ecosystem integration
VUpoint AI works harmoniously with RISCO control panels and the RISCO Cloud, offering users a unified experience in terms of system setting and unsetting, notifications, and video verification via iRISCO. The integration with other RISCO solutions ensures a consistent user experience across platforms.
A variety of advanced software tools are included, such as powerful search tools, an intuitive video player, and a dedicated device web page, with Video Management Software (VMS) to be added soon.
NVR options and availability
The VUpoint AI NVR series includes models that support 4-32 channels, with Power over Ethernet (PoE), 4K HDMI, and AI compatibility, designed for professional installations.
VUpoint AI is currently available in the UK, with installers able to purchase directly from RISCO UK. Training and technical resources can be accessed via RISCO University and through launch webinars.
Privacy compliance and recommendations
Privacy considerations are central to VUpoint AI, featuring configurations for data minimisation and secure remote access via the RISCO Cloud. The solution complies with NDAA Section 889, boasts UKCA Declarations of Conformity for NVRs and PoE cameras, and has a UK PSTI Statement of Compliance.
It’s recommended that site operators ensure the correct signage and policies are in place, especially when employing features like ANPR and people counting.
