In a significant move for its healthcare sector strategy, dormakaba has announced robust order acquisitions in the fiscal year 2025/26.
The company has secured multiple projects in Norway, Germany, and the United States, thereby enhancing its presence in the healthcare vertical. Dormakaba provides diverse solutions including locks, door hardware, door automation, access control and mechanical locking systems.
The collective order value is reported to lie in the low double-digit millions (CHF).
Key projects in Norway, Germany, and the United States
In Norway, the South-Eastern Norway Regional Health Authority has granted dormakaba a significant contract encompassing over 5,500 doors as part of the New Aker hospital initiative. This project ranks among the largest construction ventures within the Norwegian healthcare industry, with anticipated completion in 2031.
Meanwhile, in Germany, dormakaba has achieved a multi-location contract with the m&i-Klinikgruppe Enzensberg. This project involves more than 4,500 doors to implement advanced access control systems across various rehabilitation centres. Furthermore, the agreement stipulates compliance with the European Union's NIS2 cybersecurity standards.
In the United States, dormakaba's New York Entrance Systems division has forged crucial partnerships with two major New York healthcare systems. These arrangements cover the maintenance and refurbishment of entrance systems, evolving into a comprehensive collaboration focused on security, access control, and ongoing support, thereby solidifying dormakaba’s reputation within the US healthcare industry.
