DMP has unveiled its latest cloud-based video management solution, VK VMS, designed to integrate seamlessly with its Virtual Keypad platform.
This new launch also brings along AlarmVision subscription tiers and XV Plus Gateways, aiming to enhance the professional monitoring experience within DMP's expanding video platform.
Innovative video management solutions
The new VK VMS, activated via the XV Plus Gateway hardware, allows dealers to utilise the video management solution separately from DMP's AlarmVision technology.
This separation gives dealers the flexibility to offer VK VMS independently or as part of an analytic subscription suite under AlarmVision.
Dealer feedback drives development
Ken Francis, DMP's Executive Vice President of Video Solutions, noted, “We heard our dealers clearly. They want more video management functionality and flexibility in how they deploy and quote AlarmVision. VK VMS and the new AlarmVision options are a direct response to that feedback.”
Enhanced flexibility in video systems
Decoupling VK VMS from AlarmVision gives dealers more flexible, cost-effective monitoring optionsBy decoupling VK VMS from AlarmVision, dealers are presented with more affordable and versatile methods for constructing monitoring systems. These systems can be tailored for surveillance and video management with VK VMS, intelligent detection with AlarmVision, or a combination of both for comprehensive coverage through continuous recording of zone-linked events.
This capability allows users to monitor activities, evaluate footage, and maintain video records for future investigations.
New subscription options
DMP has revamped its previous AlarmVision subscription, splitting it into AlarmVision Plus and AlarmVision Pro.
These options allow dealers to align video intelligence and expenses to a client's specific needs while offering sophisticated features such as Dynamic Slicing and contextual descriptions.
The advancement of AlarmVision technology
Brad Tucker, Vice President of Product Management and Support at DMP, describes AlarmVision Plus as “the natural next evolution of the award-winning AlarmVision technology."
It pairs with VUE Plus Cameras to transform cameras into alarm system zones, facilitating intelligent detection and enhanced scene awareness.
AI-powered capabilities with AlarmVision Pro
AlarmVision Pro advances the functionality further with AI that comprehends activities contextually, generates detailed event narratives, and allows for the searching of recorded footage using natural language and specific characteristics.
Users can filter searches by elements like clothing, appearance, or movement rather than manually combing through hours of video. Dynamic Slicing retains full-resolution detail for early detection at greater distances.
Expanded XV Plus Gateway Line
The XV Plus Gateway range now includes the XV Plus-20, XV Plus-80, and rack-mounted XV Plus-80R. The XV Plus-20 accommodates up to 20 camera megapixels and comes with 1 TB of video storage. The XV Plus-80 and XV Plus-80R support up to 80 camera megapixels and include 4 TB of storage, with both desktop and rackmount versions available. These models simplify installation by removing the need for inbound ports, port forwarding, or an independent VPN appliance.
