Luminys Systems Corporation, a key provider of connected technology solutions, has announced a notable expansion of its video security and infrastructure offerings ahead of the ISC West 2026 event.
A key feature of this development is LumiAgent, a new AI-driven video search capability that enhances the company's LumiCloud and LumiCenter platforms.
The expansion further includes advancements in cloud services, cameras, Network Video Recorders (NVRs), networking, and access control systems.
Introducing LumiAgent: AI-powered video intelligence
LumiAgent is designed to revolutionise how operators handle recorded video by enabling searches using natural language, powered by Vision Language Models (VLMs) and Large Language Models (LLMs). The technology integrates advanced AI models with metadata produced by cameras, turning video footage into searchable events.
Users can enter specific queries, such as identifying a person in a red shirt in a particular location at a specific time, and the system swiftly returns relevant video footage, substantially reducing the time required for investigations. Besides event search, LumiAgent offers descriptive video summaries and, through LumiAgent QS (Quick Serve), analyses queuing and transaction patterns, aiding in customer experience optimisation.

Expanding the LumiCloud ecosystem
LumiCloud connects select Luminys devices for remote, centralized controlLuminys has also announced updates to LumiCloud, its Video Surveillance as a Service (VSaaS) platform. The enhancements allow users to search video footage, receive alerts, and analyse detection patterns across various locations effortlessly.
The newly launched LumiCloud Cameras connect directly to the cloud, bypassing the need for an NVR. They offer seamless video streaming to LumiCloud and provide a year of HD Unity subscription, featuring AI-based search, alerts, notifications, and cloud storage based on events. There is also an option to subscribe to new cloud storage plans with 30 to 180 days of continuous video retention.
The LumiCloud platform integrates with select Luminys NVRs, cameras, access control systems, and network switches via “LumiCloud Technology Inside,” which facilitates remote management and centralised system oversight. The integration is branded “Powered by LumiCloud” for standalone solutions like the LumiWatch Solar unit, designed for grid-independent operations with features such as a 120W photovoltaic panel and a 960Wh rechargeable lithium battery.
ISC West 2026 showcase
Apart from showcasing LumiAgent, Luminys will present additional updates to its range of cameras, NVRs, and cloud services at ISC West. These enhancements underscore the company's focus on intelligent edge performance and system management simplification.
Additionally, a demonstration of Adventure, a quadruped robot designed for mobile monitoring in intricate environments, will feature. This updated platform offers an extended battery life of up to three hours, improved obstacle-crossing ability, and enhanced navigation for uneven terrains and stairs.
Built on a ROS 2 architecture, Adventure supports local deployment with monitoring via web and mobile dashboards, while allowing organisations to retain operational data within their own systems.
