Camden Door Controls is set to unveil an array of its latest innovations in door activation, control, access, and locking solutions at ISC West 2026. This prominent security event will take place from March 25 to 27 at the Venetian Expo and Convention Centre in Las Vegas, Nevada, and Camden can be found at booth #7025.
Among the showcased products is the newly introduced CX-EPD1299L ½-inch Surface Mount RIM Strike, notable for its preload capability, alongside the Kinetic 900 MHz No-Battery Wireless Door Control System.
Advanced door strike technology
Camden has launched what it describes as the industry's first ½-inch RIM Strike with a preload capacity of 15 lbs. "The Camden 1299 Series strikes are Grade 1 rated and certified by UL 1034/294 and ANSI/BHMA," stated Dave Malen, Camden President. "These strikes, available in brushed stainless steel or black finish, offer universal performance with features such as selectable 12/24V AC/DC voltage, and flexible operation modes including fail-secure and fail-safe. They also incorporate a latch monitor."
This design adaptation is aimed at mitigating the common issues associated with strike failures
The 1299 Series is equipped with 1/8-inch and ¼-inch spacer plates to accommodate up to a ¾-inch latch projection, and a metal marking jig is included to streamline installation. This design adaptation is aimed at mitigating the common issues associated with strike failures by enduring up to 15 lbs. of pressure against their keepers, which is often caused by air pressure variances, misalignment, or premature door exertion.
Innovative power solutions
Another highlight is the Kinetic by Camden™ system, a 900 MHz wireless solution operating without external power or batteries. The system generates energy through switch operation, which powers the wireless transmitter, thereby cutting installation and ongoing maintenance costs.
Malen elaborated, "This is the only ‘power harvesting’ wireless system offering an ultra-compact receiver, which conveniently fits into automatic door operator cabinets. It also provides a range of operational modes, including momentary, delayed, or latching relay, alongside adjustable range settings."
Designed to integrate seamlessly with any brand of automatic door operators, this sustainable and environmentally-conscious system promises reliable door activation and can be customised with various graphics, architectural finishes, or weatherproof options suitable for commercial, industrial, and institutional deployments.
