Gallagher celebrates with a number of events throughout the year and across the globe
Gallagher's suite of security solutions are in use with national and local government in more than 100 countries

Driven by innovation and human endeavour, contemporary history has been defined by a series of unprecedented achievements and landmark events. From the first footsteps on the moon and New Zealander Sir Edmund Hillary’s record ascent of Everest, to the beginning of the Information Age and significant accomplishments in science and engineering, recent decades of invention and technical expertise have revolutionised the world.

It was during this time of technological invention that Bill Gallagher Sr. made history when, in 1937, he produced the world’s first battery-powered fence system. This pioneering step revolutionised the agriculture industry’s approach to animal management and, following the legalisation of electrically powered fencing in 1961, Gallagher Group soon forged its place as a world leader in animal management and security management systems.

A leading innovator with more than 15% of revenue being invested in research and development on its security solutions, the company used its extensive knowledge and expertise of secure data management and systems integration to expand its offering - steadily establishing itself as an international technology leader for both perimeter protection and access control. Gallagher’s suite of security solutions are now in use with national and local government, military, commercial, industrial, healthcare, transportation and academic organisations in more than 100 countries.

To mark this milestone of 75 years in business, Gallagher is celebrating with a number of events throughout the year and across the globe. Commencing on 08 March 2013, Gallagher started with a birthday celebration to coincide with its biennial conference for channel partners at its head office in Hamilton, New Zealand. Events included a gala dinner on 09 March and full conference programme beginning 11 March providing partners the opportunity to network, learn about the latest product releases and hear industry leading speakers.

“The company is delighted to be hosting its international partners and celebrate seventy five successful years of producing dynamic and innovative security technology"

Gallagher will use the conference to introduce an exclusive new range of its innovative security systems, including the latest version of its software platform Command Centre. Command Centre Version 7.10 features include; enhanced reporting including cardholder and activity reporting, integration with touch screen visitor management kiosk and personnel location functionality to activity monitor cardholders within areas of a site.

Partners will also have the opportunity to hear about several significant perimeter security products to be released in 2013.

Curtis Edgecombe, Gallagher’s Global General Manager, Security explained “The company is delighted to be hosting its international partners and celebrate seventy five successful years of producing dynamic and innovative security technology, in response to varying demands in regions around the world. An impressive programme of high level speakers who will brief our community on the very latest developments in global security matters promises to be a real highlight and we look forward to introducing Gallagher’s new portfolio of security systems to the market.”
