Integrated systems technology for the sports world to be in the limelight at ISR 2010
InfoComm International and CEDIA are the two supporting associations behind Integrated Systems Events
In the middle of an exciting year for the professional AV and electronic systems integration market in Russia, co-organisers Integrated Systems Events and MidExpo have unveiled a string of new initiatives to ensure that ISR 2010, which runs from 7-9 December 2010 at Moscow's Gostiny Dvor exhibition centre, is the most successful event in the show's history.

Focusing on opportunities presented by the 2013 Universiade (Student Games) in Kazan and the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, the next Integrated Systems Russia will host an international forum titled ‘Innovative Technologies for Sport Facilities.' Scheduled for the day before ISR 2010 tradeshow commences, the forum will take place at Moscow's President Hotel and is being supported by the Russian Association of Sport Facilities and the Green Building Council of Russia, among other bodies.

"Systems integrators in Russia are excited by the prospect of having two major international sporting events coming to the country in the next few years," says Daria Petrova, ISR Project Manager, MidExpo. "Our new forum will give everyone in the AV value chain - manufacturers, distributors, consultants and dealers - the chance to connect with the organisations responsible for specifying the infrastructure in Kazan and Sochi, including government officials, sports federation representatives, developers, investors and facilities managers."

Both the Kazan and Sochi events will require the purchase of a wide range of AV technologies including large-screen displays, digital signage, professional audio, and building control systems. A limited number of forum sponsorship packages are being made available to manufacturers on a strictly first come, first served basis.

The sport facilities event is expected to draw additional integrator attendance to the ISR 2010 tradeshow, and the organisers are undertaking a number of other initiatives to drive visitor growth. These include targeted marketing to Russia's live events community, an enlargement of the ProIntegration Awards programme which was launched to great acclaim in 2009, a Digital Education conference on the first day of the show, and on-site seminars for architects and interior designers. InfoComm International and CEDIA, the two supporting associations behind Integrated Systems Events, will also be hosting a series of specially tailored training sessions.

Mike Blackman, Managing Director, Integrated Systems Events, says: "ISR 2009 was our most successful event in Russia so far, and our aim for 2010 is to continue that momentum and provide our exhibitors with the largest attendance since we launched Integrated Systems Russia in 2007. We are confident that our sports facilities conference, together with the other new marketing and show-floor initiatives we are planning, will enhance our event's reputation as an unrivalled marketplace for professional AV in Russia and the CIS countries."

With seven months remaining before ISR 2010 opens its doors, space on the show floor is in short supply. Mitsubishi, Christie, Projecta, Crestron, AMX, Extron, Jupiter Systems, Creator Corporation, Tecom, Kramer Electronics, Kindermann and projectiondesign are among the existing exhibitors to have confirmed their participation, while newcomers include Dataton, Snowhite Display Technology, and Visioplan. Co-located with MidExpo's Hi-Tech Building expo, ISR 2009 drew over 8,000 attendees to the centrally located Gostiny Dvor exhibition centre, Moscow. ISR 2010 will run from 7-9 December 2010 at the same venue. For further information, visit the event's website.
