WatchMaster® thermal camera systems are equipped with DRS’ proprietary Image Contrast Enhancement (ICE™) algorithm for unmatched thermal image quality. ICE™ works to deliver greater image detail by seamlessly integrating three separate processes: (1) Edge Enhancement, (2) Dynamic Contrast Thresholding and (3) Adaptive Rescaling. While Automatic Gain Control (AGC) serves as an extremely valuable function for rendering a viewable image, it is not the optimal solution in every scenario. Many of today’s applications demand greater image detail of the entire scene. With knowledge of these inherent gaps in AGC and fueled by market demand for greater image detail, DRS Technologies continued to refine its imaging technology. Today, DRS' Image Contrast Enhancement (ICE™) provides a more comprehensive and robust imaging solution for a variety of applications.
With lens options that range from a wide-angle 90° field of view (FOV) to a narrow 6° FOV and resolutions up to 640x480, WatchMaster® cameras are answering the call for more affordable, reliable detection solutions.

Additional info | DRS 6937-P is a 9 fps thermal IP camera with 16.7mm focal length and 4x digital zoom. The camera utilises DRS Technologies’ proprietary 640x480 Vanadium Oxide (VOx) uncooled thermal detector technology. The Image Contrast Enhancement (ICE) provides additional contrast and edge enhancement to bring out all image details including distant objects. It is interoperable with several video management and analytics packages for easy integration into existing solutions and is easily integrated into existing systems and conforms to the ONVIF standard. |
