IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH has announced the addition of the Nion, a new Time of Flight (ToF) camera, to its range of 3D imaging products.
The Nion camera, boasting a 1.2-megapixel resolution coupled with built-in depth processing, is designed for industrial settings requiring high-resolution and consistent depth information at 30 frames per second. It is particularly suitable for sectors such as logistics, automation, and robotics, where rapid and precise 3D data collection is critical even as conditions fluctuate.
Enhanced imaging in fluctuating light
Designed to accurately capture the movement of objects without blurring, the Nion camera maintains superior performance under various lighting conditions. Its design combats interference from ambient light, making it effective for both indoor and outdoor uses. The camera's measurement range spans from 0.3 to 7.5 metres, covering the majority of industrial tasks. Additionally, its durable IP67-rated casing allows it to function in more demanding environments. Installation is simplified through Power over Ethernet (PoE), which minimises the need for extensive cabling.
