Allegion US has unveiled enhancements to the LCN 2800IQ and 9500IQ Senior Swing series operators, featuring the innovative AdaptivIQ technology.
These enhancements are designed to offer improved security, durability, and efficiency, particularly for high-traffic areas like healthcare facilities and offices. The introductions promise smoother operations and reduced maintenance needs.
Advanced self-adjustment technology
The LCN Senior Swing series now incorporates AdaptivIQ alongside Smart Power Boost technology, enabling the automatic door operator to adjust in real-time to varying conditions, such as wind, carpet drag, and HVAC stack pressure. This self-calibrating technology ensures consistent performance and lowers the demand for ongoing maintenance.
Jason Fodstad, Project Lead Engineering Manager for Senior Swing, commented, "Our unique combination of AdaptivIQ and Smart Power Boost sets the LCN Senior Swing apart from our leading competitors. Real time adjustments are a game changer for any opening with inconsistent wind or stack pressure. The ability to engage and disengage as needed allows the operator to address those external forces and minimise the risk of slamming."
Enhanced installation and features
The updated LCN Senior Swing series features a new hook-and-cleat hardware setup
With ease of installation in mind, the updated LCN Senior Swing series features a new hook-and-cleat hardware setup, making it accessible even for less experienced installers. This allows for hands-free positioning during installation, enhancing safety and efficiency.
The newly designed control box offers 23 customisable settings, a user-friendly LCD interface, a self-calibration cycle, and real-time diagnostics.
Emily Zentz, LCN Automatic Operators' Product Manager, noted, "Our aim with the LCN Senior Swing enhancement was to meet our customers' needs beyond controlling the door, and we've far exceeded that goal beyond what is in the market today."
Upgrade options for existing users
Existing users of the Senior Swing operators can benefit from these upgrades as well. By installing the updated motor gearbox and new control box, users can access the full range of features offered by the latest enhancements. LCN provides upgrade kits for purchase, facilitating this transition for current customers.
These advancements in the LCN Senior Swing series will be showcased at ISC East 2025, held from November 18 to 20, at the Javits Center in New York City. Attendees will have the opportunity to witness the capabilities of AdaptivIQ and Smart Power Boost in action.
