The Monitoring Association (TMA) has announced the appointment of Chris Mahoney, MBA, MS, as the new Director of Certification. In this pivotal role, Mahoney is set to enhance and expand TMA's existing certification initiatives, which include the Five Diamond, FirstNet, and IQ programmes.
Additionally, he will forge new credentialing opportunities aimed at bolstering workforce development and advancing careers within the professional monitoring and response sector.
Experience in Certification and Program Management
Mahoney joins TMA with over ten years of expertise in certification, education, and program management. His previous position as Senior Manager of Program Development at the National Apartment Association saw him overseeing various credentialing and training programs for more than 10,000 professionals annually.
He was instrumental in launching micro-credential programs, managing exam development, and supporting accreditation initiatives. Whitney A. There, he expanded certification initiatives, cultivated workforce development partnerships, and created career advancement prospects for those in the industry.
