Suprema has introduced XPass Q2, an advanced QR/RFID reader made for facilities handling large volumes of visitors, members, and ticket holders.
The device aims to streamline access management by integrating QR and barcode technology with RFID and BLE/NFC mobile credentials.
Unified access management
XPass Q2 addresses the prevalent use of QR codes for visitor and ticketing credentials, whether printed or on mobile devices. It combines these with RFID and mobile credential capabilities, allowing operators to efficiently manage access for employees, visitors, members, and ticket holders from a single device.
This eliminates the necessity for separate devices or lanes at entry points.
Enhanced features
The XPass Q2 distinguishes itself from typical readers by using a dedicated scanning module, enhancing the speed and reliability of QR code reads in varying lighting conditions and presentation distances. It features clear LED indicators and adaptable audio feedback to maintain high throughput at busy entry points.
Additionally, its IP65-rated design ensures durability for both indoor and outdoor use.
System compatibility
The reader supports standard barcodes for compatibility, while CLUe enables dynamic QR codes for flexibilityDesigned to work seamlessly with BioStar X, the XPass Q2 grants operators comprehensive control over visitor management, membership access, and ticketing. Integration with third-party platforms is possible via the BioStar X API, facilitating a smooth workflow from pre-registration to real-time access monitoring and compliance reporting.
The reader's ability to process standard barcodes increases compatibility with current ticketing systems. For greater flexibility, Suprema's CLUe platform supports dynamic QR code usage, broadening credential possibilities.
