SOS Technologies has announced the appointment of Jonathan Fischer as its Chief Revenue Officer (CRO).
Fischer, who has an extensive background in enterprise and public safety technology, brings over 20 years of experience in building scalable revenue models and go-to-market strategies for critical technologies.
With a career spanning notable companies including AT&T, Motorola, Nokia, Ericsson, and Cradlepoint, Fischer’s expertise is well-aligned with the needs of high-stakes environments.
Experience and responsibilities
Fischer's extensive leadership experience at major technology firms has revolved around the intersection of connectivity, software platforms, and edge technologies. His track record includes transforming complex, emerging technologies into practical, revenue-generating solutions, ensuring that executive strategies dovetail with operational demands in large-scale deployments within both enterprise and public sectors.
His perspective is uniquely informed by his hands-on background in public safety; as a former firefighter and current active member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, he prioritises technology's reliability under pressure, its seamless integration into existing processes, and its ability to swiftly deliver actionable intelligence.
New role
Fischer joins SOS amid strong growth, including a major rollout in NYC Public SchoolsFischer's arrival at SOS coincides with a period of significant growth for the company, marked by a notable deployment across New York City Public Schools. SOS is extending its reach in sectors such as education, healthcare, and government, facilitated by its large-scale SmartEAS deployments.
These deployments enable frontline staff to establish direct links with first responders, underpinned by state and local security authorisations like GovRAMP and an increasing demand for coordinated, real-time emergency response solutions.
Growth
Travis Leonardi, CEO of SOS Technologies, stated, "Jonathan brings the rare combination of enterprise growth leadership and real-world public safety experience. As we scale nationally, it's critical that revenue execution, partner strategy, and marketing leadership remain grounded in operational credibility. Jonathan understands how these systems are used when lives are on the line and how to build predictable growth without compromising trust."
Serving people
Fischer himself expressed enthusiasm for his new role, saying, "SOS is addressing an urgent, deeply human challenge. Having built and scaled enterprise organisations, and having personally operated in emergency environments, I know how essential it is for technology to perform reliably under pressure. What drew me to SOS is the opportunity to scale a platform already proven in high-stakes deployments, unifying detection, communication, and first-responder response into a single, dependable experience for institutions that serve people every day."
