Clarion Defence and Security Ltd. has announced that it has joined forces with GSE Media to run the world’s first major trade event in the rapidly expanding people analytics field. The People Movement and Management Show (PMMS) will take place at London’s Olympia from 6-7 March 2018 during UK Security Week, alongside the successful Security and Counter Terror Expo (SCTX).
The move will help establish PMMS as the key pan-European trade show for the people analytics industry and will showcase a range of technologies alongside SCTX’s 200-plus exhibitors, which cater for all areas of the security industry.
Technological innovation in people analytics field
At the event in March, visitors will be able to discover a plethora of technological innovation in this field which will provide insights into the future of operations from mass transit, retail, passenger terminals and universities to sports stadiums, shopping centres and urban events. The solutions will ultimately aid with the modelling and design of urban spaces from a people movement perspective.
The technologies on show will range from real time data acquisition to maximise space utilisation, to wayfinding, circulation efficiency, retail revenues, operational effectiveness, resilience and the securing of crowded places and ultimately visitor experience.
Additionally, visitors will have the opportunity to hear and meet world-leading experts in this field, in a range of high-level presentations delivered across a varied two-day agenda.
Event partnership benefits
Tim Porter, Managing Director of Clarion Defence and Security commented, “We are pleased to welcome the PMMS event to run alongside SCTX under the UK Security Week umbrella. The challenges inherent in securing crowded spaces and major events are already high on the agenda of our visitors at SCTX, so the emerging new technologies and solutions on show at PMMS will only add to the high-quality experience that both visitors and exhibitors already enjoy. With five events now under one roof – SCTX, Ambition, Forensics Expo Europe, The World Counter Terror Congress and now PMMS – UK Security Week 2018 is shaping up to be a compelling proposition for the communities all five events serve.”
Ken Davies, Managing Director of GSE Media, said, “The emergence of technologies around how people interact with their surroundings, and the use of this data to optimise the design, operational logistics and customer experience in public buildings and urban spaces, continues to provide fascinating new opportunities. Following the great success of the launch event in 2017, we are delighted to transfer the event to Olympia. SCTX provides the perfect partner event given its high-quality footfall of professionals involved with the management of urban spaces.”
