Nedap is set to enhance HEMA's inventory management with the implementation of its iD Cloud RFID platform across over 740 stores in the Netherlands, Belgium, and France. This initiative aims to drive HEMA's data-driven approach, bolstering its inventory tracking capabilities. Customers will benefit from improved visibility of available stock in real-time via HEMA’s app or website, while store personnel can enjoy more efficient and precise inventory management.
The rollout of Nedap’s RFID solution is scheduled to be completed in all HEMA locations in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Germany, and Austria by mid-2026. This deployment is set to leverage Nedap’s proficiency in managing extensive RFID implementations. The integration ensures that customers will reliably find the products they need in-store, enhancing the overall shopping experience.
Long-term strategic collaboration
HEMA's decision to partner with Nedap stems from the latter's demonstrated success in large-scale RFID deployments across diverse geographical markets. However, this collaboration extends beyond mere inventory management; it is envisioned as a long-term strategic partnership with potential for evolving into additional future use cases.
“This partnership is special: two Dutch companies with a rich history, innovative spirit, and strong customer focus are joining forces,” remarks Hilbert Dijkstra, General Manager iD Cloud at Nedap. “We are proud to support HEMA on their RFID journey and look forward to the results we will achieve together.”
