Gunnebo Entrance Control has introduced HiSec Nova, a state-of-the-art security portal featuring three innovative technologies designed to enhance occupancy detection, drive control, and system intelligence.
Tailored for environments where effective entrance control is needed without the requirement for ballistic or attack-proof solutions, HiSec Nova combines effective detection features with a compact design that eases installation and servicing processes.

According to Emiliano Ciantra, Product Manager at Gunnebo Entrance Control, "HiSec Nova was developed from the ground up around three priorities: detection accuracy, aesthetic design and ease of ownership. We wanted to take a fresh look at how a security portal performs, how it is maintained and how it can be integrated into different environments. The result is a system that simplifies installation and servicing while delivering the levels of detection and control organisations expect from an advanced security portal."
At the heart of the system is Visira™, a newly developed detection solution available in two configurations. Through the use of high-density digital sensors and specialised algorithms, Visira™ verifies occupancy within the portal to facilitate precise single person detection.

For scenarios requiring more comprehensive analysis, Visira™ Omni integrates dual-camera technology with AI-driven image analytics, providing volumetric 3D passage analysis and accurate people counting. Unlike conventional volume-based systems, it can differentiate between individuals and items being carried, thus ensuring reliable detection in complex access situations.
HiSec Nova also features SmoothDrive™, an innovative drive mechanism designed to enhance portal operation and long-term performance. This system ensures controlled, near-silent operation while integrated impact detection enhances both user safety and system sustainability.
Rapid system responses
Supporting these developments is NexusCore™, a state-of-the-art electronics framework that processes data in milliseconds. This capability facilitates swift system responses and coordinates the sensing, control, and mechanical functions across the portal.
