Stefan will talk about the contrast in capabilities between open source and closed technology

Idesco is proud to announce that sister company Unitronic AG’s CEO, Stefan Hauf, will give an important industry presentation at Security Essen 2014, “Choosing Wisely, Open and Closed Access Control Technologies”.

Stefan’s presentation will begin with a brief survey of the features of the most common technologies and follow with a contrast of the capabilities of open source versus closed, or proprietary, technology across the most common types of contactless access control and Smart Card deployments.

The presentation will provide valuable insights for integrators, installers and consultants alike interested in identifying product sourcing issues and trends impacting either access control or Smart Card deployment SCM decisions in the short-term out to the long-term future. The presentation will take place on Wednesday 24th September at 16.30 in Hall 5.
