Vicon Industries Inc., a leading designer and producer of network video management systems, will introduce a 1080p version of its Surveyor HD PTZ dome at ISC West, booth 22063. The new Surveyor HD 1080p (2 megapixel) features 20x optical zoom and conforms to the ONVIF (Open Network Video Interface Forum) specification, allowing it to operate with VMS software from many manufacturers. The Surveyor HD 720p (1.3 megapixel) with 18x optical zoom was introduced in 2011.

Both Surveyor HD models offer high profile, H.264 and M-JPEG compression with multi-streaming, allowing the camera to deliver bandwidth-efficient video for viewing and recording. Features include high-speed, 360o continuous rotation, advanced titling and scheduled tours and presets. Indoor, outdoor, pressurized and high-impact housings are available with a variety of mounting options.

“Our new generation of Surveyor HD cameras raise the bar for what customers should expect from PTZ solutions, delivering a combination of high-resolution live video along with forensic capabilities never before possible,” explained Margie Gurwin, Vicon’s Director of Marketing.

The Surveyor HD 1080p PTZ Dome will begin shipping Q2, 2012. The 720p model is now shipping.
