Arecont Vision is ensuring the channel is ready to design and install systems that maximise video functionality

Arecont Vision, the industry leader in IP-based megapixel camera technology, kicked off a global series of advanced Channel Partner Certification Program (CPCP-Advanced) education classes following the ASIS International Seminar and Exhibits. Arecont Vision's two-day CPCP-Advanced courses educate and certify Arecont Vision's resellers, distributors, and architects and engineers (A&Es) on the company's megapixel products and technology. The kick-off CPCP-Advanced session, Sept. 22-23 in Orlando, included detailed education regarding IP network infrastructure and will cover topics such as the design and layout of megapixel systems, advanced setup and configuration, and troubleshooting.

The Orlando course will be followed in coming weeks with classes offered in Abu Dhabi, Poland, Dubai, Taiwan and China, among other international venues; as well as New York, Chicago, Dallas, Seattle and other venues. The CPCP-Advanced sessions around the world will continue Arecont Vision's ongoing mission to educate the market on designing effective IP surveillance systems that incorporate the greater cost-effectiveness and expanded functionality of megapixel video technology.

"Arecont Vision seeks to ensure that IP megapixel video systems are integrated by a knowledgeable and skilled installer base," said Jason Schimpf, Arecont Vision Director of Partner Relations. "Our Advanced Channel Partner Certification Program reflects our ongoing commitment to making sure the channel is well trained and ready to design and install systems that maximise the cost benefits and added functionality of megapixel video."

Upcoming international stops for the two-day sessions include Oct. 17-18 in Abu Dhabi, UAE; Oct. 20-21 in Poland; Oct. 24-25 in the Nordic region;; Oct. 27-28 in the United Kingdom; and Nov. 1-2 in Shenzhen, China (after the China Public Security Expo [CPSE] show). Future stops in the United States include New York on Nov. 17-18; Chicago on Nov. 17-18; Dallas on Dec. 12-13; and Seattle on Dec. 15-16.

CPCP-Advanced attendees learn from an Arecont Vision system design expert how to develop complete IP megapixel security solutions, including camera selection and layout based on pixel density requirements, troubleshooting, exposure settings, illumination, and advanced principles relative to Arecont Vision IP megapixel solutions. Breakout sessions throughout the two days challenge students to immediately apply the lessons they just learned as well as solidify their confidence in building a system. Each participant that completes the course becomes an Advanced Certified Channel Partner and receives a certificate of completion. Advanced Certified Channel Partners are entitled to receive leads and preferential customer service. They are also listed on the Arecont Vision website with links to their own websites. In addition, Certified Channel Partners are allowed to purchase demo cameras at a substantial discount.
