Gunnebo Safe Storage has joined forces with Jaktia to provide an innovative storage solution for a newly established store in Sweden, designed to house high-tech equipment and ammunition. This cutting-edge system was developed with a focus on integrating effortlessly within limited space and adhering to all regulatory and Police Preferred standards.
Jaktia, a notable retailer specialising in hunting, fishing, and outdoor equipment, faced a tight timeline for its new store opening. Consequently, the company required a storage system that was not only secure and certified but also straightforward to install and operationally reliable from the outset.
Operational needs and spatial constraints
From the project's inception, Gunnebo Safe Storage worked closely with Jaktia to evaluate their operational requirements and space availability. Each storage unit was meticulously designed to optimise capacity within the limited area without compromising accessibility or compliance standards.
Store Manager Haris Beganovic remarked, “The storage needed to meet all regulatory requirements and fit within our store layout. Gunnebo responsiveness in the early stages allowed our team to focus on preparing the store for customers. We were able to give input on how the storage would work for our day-to-day operations, which meant the final system was practical as well as compliant. The certification and regulatory process was carefully managed by Gunnebo Safe Storage. They incorporated a Centurion Grade 4 high security vault door with Encry connected lock and a Centurion Grade 5 Strong room into the design, enabling Jaktia’s team to concentrate on store preparations.
Installation was conducted efficiently, with teams collaborating to overcome challenges, ensuring a smooth and timely project handover. The final storage system complied with all Police Preferred and legal standards, equipping Jaktia with a reliable and resilient solution.
