The Sony SSC-CM461R's minidome structure, high resolution (540 horizontal TV lines in sharp mode), infrared illuminators and true day/night function make it an ideal camera for indoor applications, such as monitoring the interiors of offices, factories and other buildings, that require a wide angle of enhanced image capture at night. Built-in infrared illuminators assist in capturing objects in the dark(under 0 lx up to 16 metres distant) with an true day/night function automatically switchingbetweenday (colour) and night (monochrome) modes depending on lighting levels. Image acquisition is high resolution and high sensitivity, thanks to a 1/3-type "Super HAD CCD II" sensor and "Effio-E" digital signal processor.
